Dr. Yannick Ladson, LPC

   When I was seven, I had a psychologist TELL me HOW I felt. He made assumptions about me based on my age, ethnicity, and other demographics. The psychologist never listened me. I felt voiceless.  

   My story is not unique. Over my 15+yr career, I have heard countless stories of culturally incompetent mental health professionals. The silver lining is that there ARE great therapists out there who are making a difference and positive impact! One such person was my middle school counselor, Ms. Grayson. Ms. Grayson had a profound impact on my life and shaped my career path!
